uNetCams: Multicam Monitor App Reviews

Menus become unresponsive. I have to shut down program and relaunch.

I’ve had this program for a few years now and for the most part have been happy with it. There have been a couple occasions where my cameras have disappeared from the app. A bit of an annoyance, but I simply re-added them and moved on. With this newest version, it has happened again, but I can no longer re-add my cameras. I can not select a camera brand from the drop down menu. In addition, before this happened, after a period of time, I could no longer navigate the menus within the app. If I right clicked a camera, the menu would appear and disappear within 1/2 a second. This app needs some major bug squashing.

Many trendnet cameras not available in the compatibility list even tho other models can be somewhat substituted.

Please, Please, Please save yourself the money. This never worked and 4 attempts with customer support coudn’t get it to work either. No refund, just a lost $10. Have tried for months now. Using Foscam FI9831P v2

Is the best App for Ip Camera for sure, but Is not working with Wanscam, CoolCam and Ele Technology…. I think there is a problem with the last cameras update "reload". Also does not record with a click like the IOS App, just take a picture with a click. For record video just with motion detection, also there is not a schedulle for record…. Im waiting for these updates….

This app works perfect with all my D-Link Wlan- or Lan- Cams !! Absolutly perfect !!

Still needs some configuration options… Great viewer, but its missing the ability to set where you want recordings saved. Over all Im just happy they finaly have a Mac app.

I have a Foscam F18910W and F18918W. Most of the core features of this app dont work at all! e.g.) Switch IR-LED illumination for night vision on/off - (button is disabled??) Audio support - (button is disabled??) Presets control up to 8 positions - (buttons are disabled??) Patrol preset positions or vertical or horizontal (if applicable) - (buttons are disabled??) Enable or disable Motion detection up to 16 cameras (max 8 recommended in dual core CPU) - (buttons are disabled??) Pan and Tilt controls up to 8 directions - (controls are erractic and arrow buttons seem to stick to "clicked" state when only a single click is pressed. Overall, this app does not function as advertised!

I have two Foscam F18908W. When setting up this App, the F18908W model is not listed, but it works when chosing Foscam" Common model" or the "F18918". This App allows for viewing and listening both via internet and internal network, however IT IS MISSING THE 2-WAY AUDIO FEATURE which is avialable in this companys uFoscam App. In other words, you can listen through the camera, but YOU CANT SPEAK BACK THROUGH IT (2-way). This feature is listed as available in their other (cheaper) uFoscam App. Youd think that by paying more to get the more comprehensive App from this company that they would include all the features of their other/cheaper App, but apparently NOT! Also, every few minutes or so, the volume automatically increases. In other words, they still need to work the bugs and ALLOW THE 2-WAY AUDIO FEATURE which, we know, this company can do since they did in their other app. It will be a 5 star then.

Having been dissapointed with some other cheaper options I gave this a try, hoping that the $10 program would be better. I was wrong. Unfortunately, this program is worse then the cheaper options. I have three D-link cameras, only one of which gets any sound at all and then only for a few seconds after start up before cutting out. All three freeze regularly making using this for motion captured recording useless as the cameras will be frozen within a few minutes requiring a restart. So unless you just going to sit and watch them, restarting them each time they freeze, then this isnt much use. Expected more for $10. The search for a basic program to monitor my cameras and recored video with motion reliabily continues...

I installed the Unet Cams and found that they had no driver for the IP cameras I had purchased - all I needed to do was contact their support via email and give them temporary IP access to my cameras and they had a driver update ready to go and my cameras work great with the software! So if you purchase this product and are having trouble all you need to do is write to uNetCams Multicam Monitor Support and give them detailed information about the situation and they will be helpful and get you up and running. This is a good product with professional Support and my cameras of various typs are all under my control no matter where I am in the world. So if you are having issues just relax and work through it. Remote camera operation and configuration via IP is not easy but uNetCams makes it easier!

I think best for foscam, can view, record or make screenshots upon motion or noise detection and playback. Comfortable event list. Support all types of cameras. Best of course is relative as those chinese cameras are not most convenient plus application tends to hang on Yosemite, especially often when I try to resize app window.

Using this to view 6 different Foscam FI891Ws. The iPhone and iPad versions work great, but the OSX version crashes a lot. About 2 out of every 3 times I try and remote move a camera the app crashes and has to be restarted. Very frustrating.

Constantly crashing. Its not much good ot me if the app cant be relied on to run without someone rebooting it every ten minutes. When its up, its perfect. Love the features, alarms and recording options. Fingers crossed for an update that fixes the crashing issue. Seems to do it mid record, as I usually find a unformatted file on restart.

Bought this app and the uFOSCAM. Niether support audio and feature a lovely ERROR 61 code audio unavailable. Worthless as a baby monitor. Waste of money. Fix the issues and Ill fix my review.

didnt work for me what soo ever

This app doesnt really support the Foscam FI9820w. It can only show low-resolution stop-motion images, not the Foscams full resolution. None of the PTZ functions work. Audio does not work. Position presets do not work. Left/right/up/down does not work. If you press the home button then the camera will point straight at the ceiling and then you cant move it unless you open a web browser and fix it. This app also will prevent your screen saver from activating whether you like it or not. There is no setting for that.

Always crashes when I try to move my cameras
